Students successfully completing eighth grade coursework at Reed Middle School were celebrated during a special ceremony June 22 as they prepare to move up to Central Islip High School in September. Joining Reed students, their families, administration, faculty and staff were Superintendent of Schools Dr. Howard M. Koenig, School Board President Norman A. Wagner, School Board Vice President Michele Harriott, school board members Fred Philips, Dan Devine and Glenn C. Mitchell, and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Sharon Dungee. Reed Middle School Principal Matthew Matera and Assistant Principal Jason Nemes welcomes guests and introduced Reed graduate who returned to his alma mater to deliver a message to students. Congratulations to Reed eighth grade students for their scholastic successes as they anticipate the next phase of their academic experiences at Central Islip High School.
