A host of special guest readers treated students from Morrow Elementary School to their favorite storybooks during the school's PARP (Parents As Reading Partners) initiative. Organized by Morrow Elementary Teacher Maureen Esposito, this year's theme, 'Warm Up With a Good Book,' is designed to capture the interest and the imagination of the students' young minds as they interacted with their guest readers. Special guests included Superintendent of Schools Dr. Howard M. Koenig, School Board Vice President Michele Harriott, School Board Member Fred Philips, Morrow Elementary Principal Dr. Neema Coker, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum Sharon Dungee, Assistant Superintendent for Personnel Christopher Brown, English Language Arts Director Ann Bucco,Testing & Assessment Administrator Jacqueline Fagan, Morrow Elementary retired principals Betty Ceccarini and Lawrence Nagy, Central Islip Public Library trustees, retired teachers and community members. The Morrow Elementary School Community welcomed special guest reader, Suffolk County Legislator and New York State Senator-elect Monica Martinez.
